How does Jesus make all things new? This week's Gospel tells us. Jesus tells his disciples during the Last Supper that all he has taught can be summed up in one commandment, “Love one another.”
The love that Jesus commands is no warm feeling of affection expressing itself in hugs and kisses. Rather, he commands them to love one another as he has loved them- by dying on the cross. Jesus is the only hope of renewal for us individually, for the Church, and for the world.
All of us have some area of our lives that needs healing and renewal. We will encounter continual failure and frustration in facing those
problems if we do not bring Jesus and his love into the situation

Thank You to our very giving catechists. The time, energy and love that comprises those who take on this ministry is not only a powerful sign of Christian Discipleship but it is also the bedrock of each Catholic parish: to pass on Christ’s teachings and faith to others as we continue that “chain-link” fence of faith which was begun by Christ and His Apostles. This program would not exist if it were not for the generous sharing of their time and talents.
Our Saint Anthony volunteer catechists are:
Michelle Batista, Angel Bolduc, Clint Brandien, Pam Brandien, Trudy Higgins, George Hughes, Terri Keiser, Rebecca Kieffer, Br. Daniel Krol, Ann Marie Lamb, Michele Mikelskas, Christine Padovani, Josephine Perugini, Br. Joseph Rice, Edward Sheehan, Brooke Smith, Stephanie Smith, Tara Smith and Carrie Sturdevant.
God has so graced us with their constant presence

Caring for our common home involves what Pope Francis calls an “ecological conversion.” In other words, because taking care of the earth is intertwined with taking care of one another, our encounter with Jesus Christ should be evident in our relationship with the world around us. To Pope Francis this is not something secondary or optional; we are called to be protectors of the earth, and this is an essential part of loving our neighbor and living a life of goodness.
Please pick up a free copy of this book, which is available at all exits this weekend.

The following is a quote from an individual who received care from a St Anthony Stephen Minister:
"I don’t know how to express my appreciation for your Stephen Ministry program. My angel came to me at a very stressful time in my life. She was truly God sent.
