Old Friends's is happy to announce that its resident veterinarian, Dr. Bryan Waldridge, is one of 10 finalists in the running to win the top category title in the "Sixth Annual American Humane Hero Veterinarian and Hero Veterinary Nurse Awards™", sponsored by Zoetis

The award is part of a nationwide search to recognize and honor the country's top veterinary professionals,
Following a careful review of more than 250 nominations from animal lovers across the country, a blue-ribbon judging panel of veterinary professionals and animal care experts selected the country's top 10 finalists, including Dr. Waldridge, who is from Bardstown, KY.

According to the nomination, Dr. Waldridge is being considered because of his commitment to his patients, dedication to the success of his clients, work at Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm, and efforts to strengthen equine welfare laws in Kentucky.
The winners will be flown to Los Angeles to be honored on October 5 as part of the ninth annual American Humane Hero Dog Awards®, sponsored by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation and Zoetis Petcare. The Hero Dog Awards will air nationwide as a two-hour special on Hallmark Channel this fall.
