For the  parents and families of St. Therese Chinese Catholic School

Dear Parents,

The last few weeks demonstrate our ethic of "work hard play hard" - our students buckled down for Aspire testing, we celebrated Regional Science Fair Winners, Catholic Math League Winners, and our History Bee contestants...then we show we know how to let off steam with our Spirit Week! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this time of year? It is truly life-giving to a school. We celebrate our children, who are at the heart of OUR HEARTS as educators and parents.

Enjoy the energy and spirit of this newsletter. Check out our fun photo galleries that include more pictures of our Spirit Week, our Bank of America visit day, handwriting winner, Living Stations of the Cross, math, basketball winners and science fair winners . YES! We have been busy!

I hope to see our STCCS friends and family on May 10th at Portillo's as we help fund our 10 History Bee winners as they head to Atlanta for NATIONALS! What a wonderful and joyous reason to all gather as a community and enjoy a meal at Portillo's!

This year's Talent Show on May 18th will surely be one of the most memorable. Word is...we have some very interesting special acts that might make an appearance! You do NOT want to miss it! :)

Lastly, the end of the school year goes by quickly. Please check the school calendar (link) regularly to see key dates and activities.

Warmest,

Ms. Cavallone

New Playground Surface Installed - Happy Kids Follow!

Kids Say: "Thank you for saving our knees!"

As you may recall, this year's Faculty Follies Fund the Need at CNY was targeted for resurfacing of our playground. The students asked for help to "Save Our Knees" and other injuries experienced on the old concrete playground. We even showed this spoof of a horror video at CNY to dramatize how the students were frequently hurt on the old playground.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends and families, we have installed the new, softer play surface just in time for the nicer weather! Students can now be found running, sitting, and even tumbling in joy (and safety) as they let off steam from their busy school days.
