Moose Mountains Regional Greenways (MMRG) will release its first conservation plan, Our Home Our Land Our Tomorrow, on Tuesday, July 18. The plan reflects a year's worth of work involving MMRG and its stakeholders, including SRPC. SRPC staff members provided input during the creation of the plan and will be in attendance at the plan's rollout at the Pickney Boat House of Brewster Academy, 80 Academy Drive in Wolfeboro, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"The Conservation Plan is part of a one-year-long project and includes input from the community and municipal documents," says MMRG. "The plan includes co-occurrence maps, community values, conservation action ideas, and more. It reflects voices of conservation professionals and those who live, work, and play in our region. MMRG will use the plan to set our conservation priorities for the next 20 years, and the Conservation Plan will be shared widely!"

Head on over to the Pickney Boat House next week for appetizers and soft beverages and, most importantly, to learn more about the plan and MMRG's next steps! For more information, see the event flyer here
Transportation

Strafford MPO staff member Shayna Sylvia represents the organization on commuteSMARTseacoast's advisory board, which held its quarterly meeting on Thursday, July 13. This offshoot of COAST is a transportation management association (TMA) focused on promoting smart commuting in the seacoast. The advisory board's primary item of business was a discussion and review of the recent B2B Commuter Challenge. This month-long event enticed companies to compete against each other in an effort to log the most smart-commuting trips. Strafford RPC placed second in the small business category ( read about SRPC's competitive efforts).  The advisory board members also talked about the next challenge, Conquer the Cold, a winter version of the B2B Commuter Challenge.
