We are halfway through AP testing! As you look towards the end of the year, pay close attention to end of the year events, schedules and summer opportunities.

AP Exam Schedule
The 2019 AP Exams will be administered over the next two weeks: May 6 through 10 and May 13 through 17. Early testing or testing at times other than those published by the College Board is not permitted under any circumstances. All AP testing will take place in the MPR.  During the month of April counselors will be coming to all AP classes to complete the AP Pre-Administration process and providing importing testing day information and reminders. 


Study Hall May 6 - May 17
Please note that during the two weeks of AP exams, May 6 - May 17, all Study Hall sections will be held in the Saint's Cafe.  The tables and seating area will be closed during Blocks 1-4 and after school in order to allow students a quiet environment during their Study Hall block.  The cafe will be opened as normal during Nutrition Break and at Lunch.
Textbook Buyback

As we approach the end of the school year, we will be hosting our annual book buyback on May 29 from 8:30am-3:30pm and May 30  from 8:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. in the Saints CafĂ©.
 At this time you can return rented books and sell back purchased books.
Finals Week
Finals are just around the corner! Please click here for the schedule and several study tips. Encourage your child to get organized and mentally prepared for finals.
Final Exams
Be on the lookout for further email communication regarding signing up for final exams.  LSP will be using a new calendar app to reserve seats for final exams. Students enrolled in the LAB support class will test in the learning lab and Non LAB students will be testing in the MPR.  Space is limited: LAB Classroom- 18 seats Non LAB MPR- 20 seats. Please begin thinking about which final exams you would like to take outside the traditional finals setting and email those teachers with a request.  
Graduation Rehearsal
The class of 2019 will be rehearsing for graduation on Friday, May 31 at 12:30 p.m. at Saddleback Church. All graduates are expected to attend rehearsal. Click here to view a map of Saddleback church.
Master Schedule
The Student Services Department is currently working on the Master Schedule. This is a work in progress and will take some time. Please note that schedules for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year are prayerfully and intentionally being crafted. Your patience and graciousness are appreciated. Schedules will be released Monday, July 8.
Class of 2020 College Application Bootcamp
This summer, on Monday August 5, Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday August 8 from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., the Counseling Department will be offering Crean Lutheran High School's fourth annual College Application Boot Camp! During this time, Seniors will create a Common Application account, a University of California application account, begin the application process for each, complete their Common Application essay, complete their UC Personal Insight Questions, complete their activities resume, learn how to send transcripts and test scores, request letters of recommendation and ultimately be able to start Senior year with the majority, if not all, of their applications DONE!   Click here for more information and to sign up!
The College Blueprint
All Sophomores should be registering for SAT/ACT Prep classes over the summer. Students should take these tests during their junior year. Prepping over the summer is helpful for students, as it can reduce the time needed to prep during the academic year.
Summer School Registration
Summer School registration is now open! We are pleased to be offering a variety of courses this summer for both remediation and advancement. embARC Summer Design Academy
Summer Programs Office at UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design is now accepting applications for their embARC Summer Design Academy. This four-week program, held on the UC Berkeley campus, offers rising juniors and seniors with an interest in architecture and design an opportunity to immerse themselves in design studio culture and the college experience, develop a design portfolio to use for college applications, work in a team with peers who have similar interests, and earn an official UC Berkeley transcript. I have stated this before, but this is an important enough point to restate... Make plans this summer ! Find a job, volunteer, visit colleges, explore a museum, do something extraordinary.
