Dear SMA Families and Friends,

Today we said our farewells to our 2019 Seniors until graduation! As testing season comes to an end, we would like to remind our SMA families and cadets the following important dates:

  • 1st and 2nd period Final Exams are Thursday, May 23rd.
  • 3rd and 4th period Final Exams, are Friday, May 24th.
  • Last day for cadets is Friday, May 24th
  • Graduation is Friday, May 24th
  • Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 27th

FINAL EXAMS

1st and 2nd period Final Exams are Thursday, May 23rd.
3rd and 4th period Final Exams, are Friday, May 24th .
Make-up exams will be on
Tuesday, May 28th by appointment.
Both days are half days and we will dismi ss at 10:20am.
Bag lunches will be available for purchase in the cafeteria.
Buses will leave at 10:45am.

Please arrive on campus no later than 8:30am
There will be no parking on campus.

2019 GRADUATION CEREMONY
Graduation will take place on Friday, May 24th at 7pm at Bayside Community Church on St. Rd. 64.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
Seniors, time is running out! If you have not completed community service hours, you should do so immediately. You MUST complete at least 75 volunteer hours to receive your diploma and 100 hours for the bright futures scholarship. If you are still in need of volunteer hours, see Mrs. Olree in the counseling office for current opportunities.

PBIS EAGLE POINTS
Don’t forget to use up your points before the end of the year. Stop by the media center for some goodies or gift cards.

Please consider donating your Polo and PT Uniforms to the Gently Used store. You may drop them off at the main office, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm.

Cadet Taryn Granger has accomplished
a great deal academically
and as a Cadet Leader in JROTC.

Now, evidence of her Marksmanship performance and potential, Taryn was offered a spot on the Jacksonville State University Rifle Team.

WRESTLING THIS SUMMER

The Eagles Wrestling Club will be very busy this summer. From 9-12 June, our wrestlers will be attending the FCA Wrestling camp held at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. This is a great team building event held by one of the best group of camp counselors around.   Click here for the information for camp: June 9th-12th.

From 18-24 June, our wrestlers will be traveling to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Disney Duals wrestling tournament. This event will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. This is one of the toughest national tournaments of the summer.  Click here for the information for camp: June 18th-24th.

Finally, from 8-10 July, our wrestlers will be traveling to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida for a tough 3 day wrestling camp. This will conclude the Eagles Wrestling Club travel for the summer as wrestlers prepare mentally for the upcoming regular season.
