Jolynne Black and her husband, Hal, moved from Colorado to Texas where their family grew with five children and later 13 grandchildren!
  
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jolynne learned about BGC through a church event. Since 2014, she has been encouraging her congregation to serve the community. In doing so, she and the faithful volunteers of the Waller Ward have helped Boys and Girls Country with many events, including Spring Festival, Pedal for a Purpose, Tour of Lights and other important campus functions.
  
Jolynne and her volunteers love working with our kids because they are taught social skills, respect, responsibility, graciousness, and manners. They appreciate that BGC receives no federal funds so the children can be in a Christian, faith-based, patriotic and loving environment. She feels strongly that BGC provides hope for a bright future with limitless possibilities and is literally saving and changing lives. Jolynne is a wonderful advocate with endless energy and love for the Lord and everyone she meets. Jolynne, thank you for being a part of this life-saving and life-changing endeavor. You are a true blessing to Boys and Girls Country! 
Cotillion refers to instruction in dance, manners, behavior and other social graces. Deslie Piercy of Cotillion Connection tirelessly brings this knowledge to our kids through classes and an annual dinner and dance. We are so grateful to Deslie and all the volunteers she recruits to make sure these events run smoothly. Thank you for your love and dedication!

The NCL Cypress Gems were a huge help in the Education Garden, weeding, building flowerbeds and planting. Thank you for helping us grow healthy veggies for delicious summer meals!


Many thanks to NCL West Houston Helping Hands for providing us with prom survival bags. This gift ensures that all BGC prom attendees have any emergency and support items they may need during this special evening.  

 
Senior Day is such a special and fun event for our high school graduates, and it wouldn't be complete without Senior Dinner. Volunteers from NCL Yellow Rose helped serve, clean up and ensure the event ran smoothly. This allowed cottage families to focus on honoring each graduate's growth and accomplishments. Thank you for contributing to a memorable celebration!
