Dear Parents,
We are beginning our Clothes Study. Children in general are interested in clothes from a very young age. They start by wanting to pick-out an outfit as they begin to feel a sense of individuality which they express by selecting colors, textures, and types of clothing.
Shining, Super, & Spunky Sophomores:
During this Study, our young Toddlers and Two's will begin to learn about buttons, snaps, zippers and textures. They will be working on their Sensory Skills and will be focusing on specific areas each week of the study and focus on social, emotional, and literacy-language skills.
Jolly Juniors and Sensational Seniors:
Children will be encouraged to participate in describing textures, colors, and styles. They will learn new vocabulary when naming, describing, grouping, displaying, and labeling articles of clothing. During this study they will continue to developing public speaking and presentation skills. They will also focus on literacy, math, technology, and the arts as the investigation grows each day.
