Crew Bank - Need Crew or interested in Crewing?

If you are a sailor and interested in participating in one of the Lake Ontario Offshore Races, or a skipper who needs crew, use the Crew/Boats Boards on the Yacht Scoring Registration and Official Document page. This resource was in high demand during the 2018 season and crew was snapped up very early. There are already a few eager racers listed as available crew for the 2019 season. Check it out and ensure you don't miss the opportunity to participate in a LOOR event this year.

You'll find the link on the Registration page, right side of the page, called 'Crew/Boat Boards', or go to the Crew Bank page on the LOOR site.
Will Your GPS Be Impacted by the April Date Rollover?

On April 6th, 2019 older GPS units may experience a range of problems because of a limitation in how they handle dates.  Those problems could include not being able to receive location data.  It turns out the way dates are stored in older GPS units has a rollover event every roughly 20 years and we are about to experience the second one since the GPS constellations came online. For the full story see: GPS date rollover affects older GPS units
