Cutting-edge Ethical Issues for Social Workers: Practical Implications of Evolving Standards

(5 Clinical, Ethics CEUs)
June 19 from 9:30am - 3:30pm

Recently the social work profession adopted updated ethics standards, regulatory guidelines, and practice standards, especially related to practitioners' use of technology. Dr. Reamer will explain these and explore high-risk ethical issues and practical strategies designed to protect clients and practitioners.

Key topics will include novel forms of service delivery and ways to communicate with clients, management and storage of electronic information, boundary issues, dual relationships, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, privileged communication, informed consent, clients' rights, documentation, and termination of services. 

Cost: $125 for NASW members, $160 for non-members
(includes 5 CEUs, coffee/tea and lunch)

NJ Telemedicine/Telehealth Tip Sheet Now Available

NASW-NJ has released a telemedicine tip sheet to help clinicians understand the recently enacted NJ Telemedicine Law. Clinicians who wish to use distance-technology to provide services to clients should reference this tip sheet to ensure your practices are in compliance with state requirements.
