DRAGON TALES
5/15/19

Dear St. George Families,
It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is just a week away. It has been a great year for
our school. This year our eighth grade class will graduate 107 students. These eighth grade students have
distinguished themselves, in and out of the classroom. They are faith-filled young men and women who
will be tomorrow's leaders. It is with both joy and sorrow that we see them leave our St. George School
community. These students have made a positive impact on many lives, they have made their mark on
our hearts. We ask God for his continued blessings on their lives.
Last week, I said ,"It takes a village to raise a child." We have all heard this so many times it has
become cliché- but it is so true!
It also takes everyone in a school community, with as much support from the broader community,
to provide our kids a great education. The education of every child in our school is the responsibility of
all of us.
We are blessed here at St. George to be part of a terrific "village." Parish support financially and
in many other ways enables us to offer programs you won't find in many schools. The generosity of
parents in terms of your time, talent, and treasure helps us provide the teachers, materials, and
environment children need in order to grow and excel.
Thank you so much for being active members of our "village," our school community. May God
continue to bless you and your family.
Sincerely,
Jack Nelson
