Hi Everyone...Killiney Beach Park will be CLOSED tomorrow and Friday, May 16-17 . The NWCA met with RDCO Parks staff on Monday this week to go over the final restoration plans for Killiney Beach.

A crew was on the beach all day today prepping the road for paving (photo above). There will be a flagger at the top of Hodges Rd. tomorrow and Friday stopping anyone heading down to the beach. The work crew will be continuing the prep tomorrow and paving will be done on Friday.

The final planned works - dog friendly beach site at the fire boathouse site, swim grid, placing the existing and new swim floats, adding rip rap to one beach site, constructing entrance to one site and repairing the boat launch are scheduled to follow shortly after the paving is complete. The boat launch is expected to be closed for a couple days when repairs are in progress. Thank you for your patience during the boat launch repair.

I will be sending you a video of the beach when the paving is done.

A Big Loud Shout Out to Wayne Darlington, RDCO Parks Manager and RDCO Parks staff, the Province, all hired contractors, our Area Director and the NWCA Parks Committee for all the work put into the Killiney Beach Restoration Project. Thank you!
