In Memory of Dick and Niki Thompson
The tragic fire in Marshall at the home of Admiral Dick Thompson and his wife Niki Thompson on February 26 took the lives of this lovely couple. The Thompsons will be remembered as those who made the world a better place. They were always active in the community and especially supported the performing arts.

Niki Thompson held many roles at Fauquier Community Theatre. She was an actress, producer and choreographer at FCT and later became board president when the location was still at The Loft on Warrenton's Historic Main Street. Admiral Thompson was successful in helping to negotiate a larger space for the theatre in the current location of Vint Hill Theater on the Green which is the former movie theatre on the World War II military base.

Don Richardson, former board president of Fauquier Community Theatre, remarked
"Dick and Niki Thompson were key players in the history of Fauquier Community Theatre. Their time and their leadership were given unselfishly to guide and grow the organization, and Fauquier County residents have benefited from their dedication to promoting the performing arts in the community. I was lucky to have the benefit of their wise counsel on many occasions and I will miss them very much."

Robin Earl, the editor of Fauqier Times contacted Fauquier Community Theatre for comments. For more information, see Earl's articles in the Prince William Times and Fauquier Times.

Fauquier Community Theatre will be honoring Dick and Niki Thompson's dedication to the community. More information will follow for the special way the Thompson's legacy will continue.
