GENERAL
AP EXAM REGISTRATION  
Last chance to turn in your AP examination forms and payments during a drive-thru, drop-off event TODAY. Bring your completed form, payment and school ID card. Fill out only one form no matter how many exams you are taking and write one check or exact change cash for all the exams you are taking. Checks must be made out to PVPHS AP with the student's name in the memo line and do not staple the payment to the form. The fee is $100 per exam; AP Seminar is $150. If you fail to make the drop off, there is a $50 late fee per test. Forms and payments will not be accepted early, only at the drop off. The final drop off schedule is as follows:

LIBRARY CLOSED TODAY

Today is a student free day and the library is closed. Regular hours will resume on Monday, Oct. 26.

 

SKECHERS WALK

Don't miss out! It's almost time for the annual Skechers Friendship Walk this Sunday, Oct. 25. Go to skechersfriendshipwalk.com, choose "register," then "education" and join the Peninsula/Dr. Kuykendall's team. Designate Peninsula Education Foundation as the organization you support and 100% of your registration fee comes back to our schools.

 

FEED THE STUDENTS

Now through winter break, the cafeteria is offering curbside pickup for a FREE breakfast and lunch every school day from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Come to the Gate 3 entrance before Basswood where the line forms outside the gym. This program is open to any student 18 and under and recipients do not need to be enrolled in PVPUSD. No pre-order required. All meals include an entrĂ©e, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Menus are at pvpusdschoolnutrition.net.

 

THE PEN NEWSPAPER

The first issue of The Pen is now available online. Read about Panther opinions, local news, athletics and national events that help shape our school. Prefer to actually hold the newspaper while you read it? It's easy to subscribe to The Pen at the school webstore on Peninsula's website and you'll receive all issues in the mail. Like math? Like to compete? Then you should participate in the American Mathematics Competition on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021. If interested, sign up here by Friday, Nov. 6. COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE SERIES CONTINUES

The 2020 Virtual College Knowledge series continues on Wednesday, October 28 at 6:30 pm with Cailin White of the Outreach and School Relations at California State University, Dominguez Hills. She will go through the CSU application in detail so be sure to have started your application and come in prepared with your questions. Registration is required and may be done by clicking here.

CHARTER A NEW CLUB

The deadline to file a new club charter is TODAY. Go to pvphs.pvpusd.net and under "Panther Picks," there is a list of currently chartered clubs as well as the charter form. You will also find important information regarding deadlines, club constitution, and club presentation.
