INTRODUCING THE WEEKEND AVENGERS
|
|
Betsy and Buddy are part of a hunger-fighting team. As the end of the week approaches, they go through extraordinary transformations, becoming heroes in the fight to end childhood hunger. Betsy packs bags of nutritious food, and Buddy is a donor. It takes both volunteers and donors to feed a child on the weekend.
It takes YOU!

Superheroes are known for making a positive difference in the world and so are Blessings in a Backpack volunteers!
During
National Volunteer Week in April, we recognized our volunteers by transforming them into superheroes, highlighting their hard work and dedication. Volunteers are the heart and soul of Blessings in a Backpack. None of what we do would be possible without each and every one of them.
Not all heroes wear capes. Some feed kids on the weekends.

SEASON-LONG PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PGA TOUR UNDERWAY
|
As part of a season-long partnership, Blessings in a Backpack is included as a philanthropic initiative for the 2019
PGA TOUR Volunteer Appreciation Program, sponsored by
Myrbetriq® (mirabegron). In select markets across the country, tournament volunteers are participating in Blessings packing events that directly benefit the children in the community.
So far, more than 8,000 kids took home backpacks full of weekend food thanks to the generous efforts of Astellas Pharma US, Inc. and the PGA TOUR.
