BSC Announces New Leadership Team

The Burlington Soccer Club is pleased to announce two new hires at BSC. Jeff Gross will serve as Club Director and Susanne Conlon will serve as Club Manager. They will join the leadership team, including Director of Coaching Jason Noel, Academy Director JP Strachan, and the BSC Board, in implementing our strategic vision of becoming a leading community-centered, player-focused, high-value club.
Jeff and Susanne will be at Joe Davidson Park on May 23rd and 24th during team tryouts, and they will be at the Annual General Meeting on June 13th. Please stop by to welcome them and discuss the exciting future for BSC!

Jeff Gross has over 20 years of coaching experience and 15 years of club management experience. He is currently coaching the BSC U14 Cardinal Girls team for this spring season and is an assistant coach of the UNC Greensboro women's team. Prior to moving to UNCG three years ago, Jeff served for five years as Director of Coaching for the East Meadow Soccer Club in New York, where he was responsible for hiring, summer programming, fundraising, curriculum design and implementation, and coaching education. Jeff has also held leadership roles at the Football Club Frederick in Maryland, the Capital Area Soccer League in North Carolina, and the Thunder Soccer Club in Maryland. He holds the USSF A License, the NSCAA Premier Diploma, and the USYS National Youth License. Jeff played college soccer at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County.
As Club Director, Jeff will work with the Board on implementing our strategic vision, work with the new Club Manager to enhance procedures and policies, and work with the Director of Coaching and Academy Director on player development, coach recruitment, coaching education, curriculum development, and enhancing our club culture.

In addition, BSC announces the hiring of Susanne Conlon to a newly created position of Club Manager. Susanne recently moved to the Burlington area from Atlanta where she was a YMCA Office Manager.
She has been involved in youth soccer for 30 years, most recently serving as the President of Georgia Soccer, the NCYSA equivalent. In this position, Susanne oversaw operations for the statewide organization of more than 100 clubs and 90,000 players. She managed the budget, chaired the Board of Directors, and implemented a variety of new statewide initiatives during a pivotal transition period in how youth soccer is organized nationally.
Prior to serving as president, Susanne served as the Special Programs Director and State Recreation Director. She has served on multiple national US Youth Soccer committees, helped establish a new club, and has experience as a registrar, referee assignor, referee, and coach. Susanne was born and raised in London, England. She is married to Brian Conlon, and together they have two soccer-loving sons (Sean and Ian) and one soccer-loving granddaughter (Zoe).
As Club Manager, Susanne will oversee day-to-day operations, lead the team of registrars, and assist the Board with sponsorship programs, community engagement, and refining and implementing policies and procedures.
