The Houston Masterworks Chorus presents Francis Poulenc’s Gloria, and John Rutter’s Requiem in concert. Award-winning organist, Bryan Anderson, will accompany the 110-voice chorus, directed by Maestro Tom Jaber. Ms. Camille Jasensky will be featured as the soloist for the Rutter Requiem, and Ms. Andrea Trusty for the Poulenc Gloria.
The music for the performance was chosen in preparation for the Chorus’ tour to Carnegie Hall in the summer of 2019. Maestro Jaber was selected to conduct the tour performance where multiple choirs will converge in New York City for a much-anticipated performance of John Rutter’s Requiem.
Admission is free. The expenses of the concert were underwritten. A free-will donation will be collected, and the proceeds will benefit Prince of Peace.
