A weekly look ahead with dates and event details to help keep you informed.
A Note from Susan Holt
Welcome to our final week of school for 2017-18! Thanks to all of you for your partnership and support in making this school year a success.
Congratulations to the Ivymount 2018 graduates! PHS School to Work and our Autism Program held a joint graduation on Thursday. A special thanks to our School Board President, Paula Parsons, and to Lisa Katz, Ivymount class of 2015, for speaking at the ceremony. Scroll down for many more photos.
MLN Elementary and
Middle School Moving Up Ceremonies were also held this week. It was another fabulous program with well deserved awards and proud participants! Thanks to all for attending and adding to this very special celebration.
Last week, we also celebrated our final
Ivymount Outreach Arts & Athletics program for the school year with our Spring Showcase. Thanks to all for attending! Look for Arts & Athletics to return next fall.
Students in our MAP Middle School and High School classes worked throughout the year on projects in art and in social studies that capture the meaning of identity. They represented their understanding of identity through portraiture in art and through Facebook-style profiles in social studies.
Last Wednesday, we displayed these projects at the National Portrait Gallery! A special thanks to Jessica Breitschwerdt and Kim Prati for their work on this project. Make sure to check out our photo collage from the event below.
Reminder to our 2018-19 parents: medical forms are due on Monday, July 9th. We have added our medical forms to the parent portal on our website. (See quick links below.)
Also, keep an eye out for the 2018-19 Handbook for Families, forms for the new school year, as well as 4th quarter progress reports and report cards, which will arrive in the mail over break.
Thanks to all for a great year,
Susan Holt, Director
