Fall Minis
This month, we held our annual Fall Minis. Families were invited to have their family picture taken by Moira Sweetland in their backyard, at the Bradley Estate, or at Mistletoe Acres Farm. Thank you to everyone who had participated! We look forward to holding this event again next October!
The Apple Project
We had partnered with Rustic Marlin to sell special signs in support of our educators. Sales ended last Friday. The signs will be available for pick-up in the middle of November.
Letter from the CAPT President
Hi Hansen Families!
Welcome back to all returning families and a big WELCOME to all new families. My name is Kristen Ecord and I’m your Canton Association for Parents and Teachers (CAPT) President, and I have a son Tyler in 3rd Grade.
This year has been, and will be, exceptionally challenging for parents, teachers, and students.
Our goal is to support our teachers and help make school an enriched place for our students.
In these hard and unprecedented times, we want all our families to know we are here to help. We want to continue as many activities and programs as possible to bring some normalcy to this strange time.
Myself and the board have been in discussion with Mr. Brauninger on ideas for safe community engagement and we hope to have some pictures/news to share in the next newsletter!
I look forward to meeting, working with, and learning from all of you in the coming year! Together we will make this our best year yet!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any question. My email is hansencaptpresident@gmail.com.
Why did you join? We just moved to the area, so I was hoping to meet other parents and become part of the Hansen community. I also wanted to know what was going on in the school.
What have you done in CAPT? Last year, I volunteered at the Fall Festival, Holiday Shoppe and as a Room Parent. This year, I'm the CAPT secretary and your friendly newsletter editor.
What is your favorite thing CAPT does? I enjoyed all of the programs, but my favorite was being in the Room Parent program. It was a lot of fun to get to know my daughter's 1st grade class!
