This is an exciting time for the
Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara (VVSB)
. We are happy to announce that a donor couple believes so strongly in our mission that they have provided a generous challenge grant. This grant will launch a new chapter in our organization's history and ensure that we serve as many people affected by cancer as possible. This generous couple has offered to
match dollar-for-dollar all contributions made between now and June 30, up to $35,000 - meaning your gift today can have twice the impact.
As previously announced, demand for Cancer Support Community VVSB's services has grown. Our goal in 2018 is to enhance our current programs and expand our reach in underserved communities through additional Spanish-language support groups in the San Fernando Valley, including a bilingual Kids & Teens Circle.
We are proud to report that on March 19, we launched a multilingual adult support group for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers located at Iglesia Adventista Los Olivos in Van Nuys. We are also offering a bilingual Kids & Teens Circle for children ages 6-15 who have a sibling, parent, or grandparent with cancer, beginning June 6 at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park. Plans are also underway for an additional English-language adult support group in Canoga Park. The challenge grant and contributions from donors like you will support and ensure the success of these much-needed services.
