Pique: Young Leaders Elevating the Upstate
March 22nd
The 3rd Annual Upstate Young Professionals Summit "Pique: Young Leaders Elevating the Upstate" will be held on March 22nd from 1:15-5 pm (reception to follow) at The Bleachery at Taylors Mill.

The event will include breakout sessions designed to help young professionals continue growing personally and professionally as well as opportunities to engage with business and community executives. There will also be a wrapup panel focused around Global Leadership in the Upstate.

Following the programs will be a networking reception hosted by 13 Stripes Brewery with food provided by Cribbs Catering.

Upstate Superintendents and College/University Presidents Meet to Discuss Opportunities for Collaboration and Connectivity
On February 28th, Ten at the Top and Public Education Partners convened the first-ever Upstate Public School Superintendents and College/University Presidents Meeting at the Tri-County Tech Easley campus.

More than 40 representatives from public schools, technical colleges, two and -four year colleges and universities and the business community gathered to discuss the potential value and areas of focus from enhancing the connectivity and collaborative opportunities among the education spectrum.

Following this initial meeting, the meeting steering committee will reconvene and discuss next steps and future opportunities for building on this initial conversation.

Ten at the Top Welcomes
New Staff Members
Ten at the Top is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members, Adelyn Nottingham and Dewey Evans, both of whom will serve as Program Managers for the organization.

Adelyn joins the TATT team after working for The Haven Homeless Shelter in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She previously served as in the Americorps Vista program through the United Way of the Piedmont working specifically with the Know(2) Program in Cherokee County. Originally from West Virginia, she now makes her home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Dewey comes to TATT with a strong desire to make an impact in the economic and community development arena and is excited to contribute to the Upstate’s regional development strategy. A graduate of Appalachian State University and Pickens High School, Evans currently resides in Easley, South Carolina.


TATT Executive Director Recognized by Upstate Forever
Ten at the Top Executive Director Dean Hybl was recently honored as the Upstate Forever 2017 Land Planning and Policy Champion.

Hybl was recognized for his involvement in the Shaping Our Future Growth Scenario Analysis, which looked at current growth patterns and potential future growth scenarios in the Upstate.

Idea Exchange

Connecting Our Future is a regional initiative to develop a shared transportation, mobility & connectivity vision and actionable strategies for the Upstate.

You are invited to help shape the regional vision by participating in an "Idea Exchange" Workshop on Monday, March 19th, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Michelin Conference Center. This is a free event, but advance registration is requested.


Entrepreneur Support Providers Meeting

In 2018 the Entrepreneur Support Providers Network will continue efforts to identify and grow the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in the Upstate region. The first meeting on April 11th will focus on continuing to grow awareness of available resources and identifying gaps within the network and support system in the region. The group is open to representatives from organizations that provide support to small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Upstate.
