It's Bike Month!
Pedal Your Way to Prizes & Free Lunch: May 12th-20th 2018

Here is how it works:
- Register/log in for the event at the MassCommute Bicycle Challenge (MCBC) website
- Log one round trip (or 2 one-way trips) by bike during Bike Week and earn 4 playing cards (2 for registering and one for each trip by bike). *For each additional trip you make, you earn an additional card - biking to work, for training, for recreation, errands and leisure all count so don't forget to ride & log all week!
- Attend our luncheon May 23 and receive your playing cards. The more rides you take during Bike Week, the better your chance for a winning hand! Whomever reveals the best poker hand, will receive a $150 gift card to the place of their choice.
 The Junction TMO Pedal Poker Run is a friendly bike competition between TMO member employees. The first 25 people to sign up for the event and log at least 1 trip will receive a "legendary" MCBC bike week T-shirt. All TMO participants who take at least one trip during bike week are entered into a raffle for multiple bike-related prizes and invited to the annual MCBC Bike Bash in Cambridge.

Free Bike Registrations for Andover Members!

 The Junction TMO is working with the Andover police department to provide free bike registration for employees at Andover businesses. If your bike is stolen from any location in Andover, the police will have a record with a description of your bike that will help them in their efforts to locate it. LINK?

Tobin Bridge Construction Resumes
|
 Work-related activities and traffic impacts as part of the Tobin Bridge Rehabilitation Project began in April and recently featured a closure of the Everett Avenue On-Ramp to Route 1 Southbound for roadway deck repair work. Construction began in 2017 and is expected to continue through 2020. Stay up to date with closures and other construction operations here.

MBTA Selects Vendor for New AFC 2.0 Fare Collection

Known as
AFC 2.0, the new system is moving forward under a public-private partnership model with incentives for the contractor to ensure the infrastructure is operational, with risk-sharing agreements for the financing, and requires the contractor to perform system maintenance over the thirteen-year agreement.
"This isn't just the next generation of fare collection, but an entirely new way that our customers will interact with the MBTA," said MBTA General Manager Luis Manuel Ramírez. "The new system will be compatible with all MBTA transit modes, will provide fare payment flexibility, and will have more fare media options for use. While we're excited about today's milestone, we will soon initiate a major effort to educate our customers, stakeholders, and partners at all levels of government on the benefits of the new system."
