ConnectMenlo General Plan Study Session
The City Council will hold a study session on the ConnectMenlo General Plan progress since its adoption in 2016.

This is part of the General Plan two year review and will serve as a check-in and opportunity for members of the public and the City Council to comment on what is working in the Bayfront area, what may need clarification and what may need to be explored further. Co mmission Applications Due April 5
Menlo Park welcomes and encourages residents' active participation through serving on a City-appointed Commission or Committee. Commissions examine issues of community interest and make recommendations to the City Council on policy matters. Each commission reviews specific subjects and carries out assignments as directed by the City Council or as prescribed by law. Each Commission establishes a 2-year work plan that is in line with the City Council's goals, which guides the commissions' activities and projects.

Recruitment for the Commission vacancies is open until April 5, 2019 , at 5 pm . Download the application here .

AROUND MENLO PARK
Work began the week of March 18 from the San Mateo County/Santa Clara County line to Whipple Avenue on the San Mateo 101 Express Lanes Project. This is a multiyear, multiagency project to reduce traffic congestion and encourage carpooling and transit use on U.S. Highway 101 in San Mateo County.

The project will create 22 miles of express lanes on U.S. Highway 101 from the San Mateo County/Santa Clara County border to I-380 in San Bruno and seamlessly connect from express lanes also being constructed in Santa Clara County.
