This time of year is full of celebrations and opportunities to gather with others. There are multiple ways to enjoy what our community has to offer over the next month, as well as to give back. Stop the Trafficking, which takes place Saturday, June 9th at Purgatory Creek Park, is a collaborative, community-wide event to raise awareness about human trafficking. The 2018/2019 Back-to-School Supplies Program is a collaborative effort between PROP, Grace Church, the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools, Immanuel Lutheran Church, the district, and various community businesses and other churches. We need help securing donations to ensure all students have what they need to be successful during the 2018/2019 school year. MY BOOK DAY
Approximately 625 first graders throughout the district received the gift of a book during the annual My Book Day event held at Eden Prairie High School in partnership with the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary, the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools, and Eden Prairie Schools Community Education. The program included a play by high school students, a robotics demonstration, musical performances and a lesson on the Eagles Fight Song, and other presentations on the value of reading. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who made this day possible!
