Announced for the 2019
Pennsylvania National Horse Show
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - May 15, 2019 – In its 74 th year, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show (PNHS) returns to the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA, October 10-19, 2019.
New Changes
The Pennsylvania National Horse Show is excited to announce new changes slated for the 2019 Show.
Schedule
The PNHS Trainers Committee has announced notable changes to the Hunter Schedule. "We are pleased to offer the following additions to the schedule and look forward to increased participation,” said Peter Doubleday, Manager of the PNHS.

Highlights of the new Hunter Schedule include the following:
  • $25,000 Champion of Champions Winner’s Stake for the 5 professional hunter sections
  • $25,000 Green Hunter 3’ & 3’3” Winner’s Stake for these 2 Green Hunter sections
  • $25,000 A/O Hunter Classic (3’3” & 3’6”) open to the top four horses in all four over fences classes
  • Hunter Judges – Mike Rosser and James Clapperton, along with Kim Dorfman (Jr. Weekend)
Highlighted changes to the Jumper Classes include the following:
  • The Pennsylvania Big Jump prize money will increase to $60,000 (Longines Ranking D)
  • The $7,500 Commonwealth Classic will be eliminated from the Friday schedule with the prize money being added to the Big Jump Class
  • The Keystone Classic Speed Stake and the Harrisburg Sprint will each offer $36,000 in prize money (Longines Ranking D)
  • The Grand Prix de Penn National will offer $134,000 in total prize money (Longines Ranking B)
Lunging Area
Along with the new schedule, improvements are slated for the outside lunging area. Outdoor lighting will be added along with footing material improvements as well as scheduled maintenance to the footing.
VIP Terrace & Balcony
At the request of the Farm Show Complex, the VIP Terrace area will now be located on the long side of the arena facing the In-Gate. This will allow for additional tables to be available for sale on the VIP Terrace. Contact PA National Horse Show to reserve a table.
