Order of Vaughan nomination deadline is June 15

Official opening of Saputo Tennis Courts
Improvements to the existing triple tennis courts, located at Torii Park, were funded in large part through a $50,000 sponsorship by Saputo and co-ordinated by Vaughan's Municipal Partnership Office. The goal of the partnership office is to enhance City programs and facilities.
vivaNext Rapidway Project update 
 

The vivaNext Rapidway Project continues along Highway 7 West and in the Bathurst and Centre area. The next phase of construction has begun, which includes the rapidway and station platforms, and canopies in the centre of the roadway. To complete this work, lanes on these corridors are shifting to their final location. 
Chief Larry Bentley retiring after more than 38 years of service

Chief Bentley first joined Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service in 1979. He was promoted through the ranks, becoming fire chief in 2013. Chief Bentley has been a role model to his crew members and has helped to further fire prevention education and increased visibility of firefighters in the community.

Concerts in the Park
Rock, blues, disco and pop - we have it all this summer at the annual Concerts in the Park series. Bring your family, friends and neighbours for good fun and great tunes. This is the 24th year the City of Vaughan is providing free live performances. The shows take place on select Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. until the end July.

Need to have your pet vaccinated or microchipped? Vaughan Animal Services is hosting a Microchip and Rabies Clinic on May 30 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call 905-832-2281 to book your appointment today.

Environmental Days are back!
Join us at the next Environmental Day event taking place on June 2 at Al Palladini Community Centre between 10 a.m. and
2 p.m. Get FREE mulch, exchange your damaged City-issued blue box or recycle your electronics.

Vaughan Accessibility Fair 
You're invited to the 2018 Vaughan Accessibility Fair at Chancellor Community Centre on June 6. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will feature tips on making a home accessible, transportation options and free demos.

You're invited to the naming ceremony for Piazza Tagliavini on June 12 at 7 p.m. Complimentary refreshments provided.
