Since its inception in 1968, North York General Hospital has focused on cultivating a culture of learning. An important goal is preparing the health care professionals of tomorrow. North York General now educates close to 2,000 students in every area of the hospital. 

"We are not only trying to provide exceptional care, we're trying to find the best way to teach students how to deliver exceptional care," says Dr. Rick Penciner, Director of Medical Education at the Centre for Education.

People often face heightened anxiety during this period and Social Worker Laurie De Oliveira offers coping strategies. 

Tiny stones, big pain 

Physical signs that you have a kidney stone may only be noticed if a stone starts to move around the urinary tract.
Approximately 1 in every 20 people will develop kidney stones at some point in their life, most commonly between the ages of 20-50. Urinary tract stones are more common in men than in women.

The ins and outs of snoring 

Habitual snoring is more common in men than women.
Many of us have been kept awake at night by the annoying sound of someone snoring. Perhaps you are a snorer keeping others up!
