Sturdy buildings
Ed Schmidt has been installing Starrco modular buildings for more than 20 years, and during most of that time, he has specialized in cleanrooms which he has installed for drug compounding pharmacies, contact lens manufacturers and electronics companies.
Ed has a lot of good things to say about the Starrco product, but he is most impressed with the speed of install and the quality of the finish.
"We can put up a lot of walls in a day, and they are beautifully finished on both sides. Compare that to installing the same quantity of drywall. It would still need to be mudded, sanded and painted," said Ed.
The other thing he loves about the product is its strength. "You can walk on the roof of these buildings," said Ed.
Smooth installation
Ken Seymore installs several modular building brands, but most of the others do not compare to Starrco in terms of quality.
"Sometimes there is a competitive price situation, but
I try to advise the customer that if they use Starrco, the project will be smoother and they'll have a better product," said Ken.
With other brands, Ken has learned to allow extra installation time. For example, he knows other brands' doors are likely to come out of alignment, so he takes the wall panels apart to add blocking behind the doors. A lot of other manufacturers also don't cut the extrusions and that takes even more time.
"The materials arrive on time, we get engineer-stamped drawings, and if there is a problem, Starrco responds very quickly," said Ken.
Ken works across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana and has been installing Starrco modular buildings since 2003.
