Softball
The Hornet softball squad finally broke through the regional wall reaching the state tourney for the first time since 2005. It was not an easy task as No. 5 Fullerton had to travel to No. 4 El Camino College for the Super Regional playoff series where FC took two games out of three from the Warriors. Fullerton had lost the first game 3-2, but bounced back to win two straight on the road against one of the toughest teams in the state. Up Next: The No. 5 seed from the south Hornets will play in the CCCAA State Tournament at Bakersfield College and Cal State Bakersfield on May 16-19. All games will be broadcast live via SoCal College Sports. The Hornets will open up against No. 1 in the north San Mateo (41-2 overall) this Thursday, May 16th at Bakersfield College at 1:30 p.m.
Baseball
Sophomore pitcher Connor Tousignant accepted a scholarship to Cal Poly Pomona late last week. Tousignant was an All-Orange Empire Conference Pitcher in 2018 and earned conference "Honorable Mention" honors this season.
Women's Track and Field
Two Hornets will be competing in the State Championships at the College of San Mateo this weekend (May 17-18). Sophomore Myrna Gillas qualified to compete in the high jump and long jump, while freshman Alicia Victoria will compete in the 400 hurdles.
Men's Basketball
Fresh off their state championship title win, sophomore guards Jailen Moore and Ezekiel Alley made it official on Thursday afternoon signing full-ride scholarships to St. Cloud State and Northwest Nazarene. Other players to sign from the 2018-19 State Championship team are Rodrick McCobb (Northern Colorado), Ronne Readus (Cal State Bakersfield), and Lance Coleman II (Cal State Northridge). Stay tuned as more Hornets will be signing soon.

Thursday, May 16-Saturday May 18, 7:30 p.m. Bronwyn Dodson Theatre
Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's most familiar and darkest tales. This production plays out in a not-so-distant, dystopian world, where society is teetering upon the brink of collapse. This story is not just about Macbeth, but rather the collaboration and partnership of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to taste the bittersweet fruits of their sown treachery. The "weird sisters" bring mystery and prophesy through an intoxicating musical appeal that is sexy, alluring, but extremely dangerous.

This annual exhibition presents the best of the best artwork created during the current academic year. Prizes will be awarded to the students who demonstrate the highest artistic merit. Many works will be available for purchase.
