Rejoice with those who rejoice;
mourn with those who mourn
Romans 12:15

The last month has been full of good things, such as our school and universities reopening, a medical team coming to our school, and weekly zoom calls with our dorm students and pastoral partners. Unfortunately these great things were met with heartbreaking events, which are detailed below. It is sometimes difficult to know how to react, but we think Paul's words in Romans 12:15 reminds us how we should. We will rejoice with those that are rejoicing and we will mourn with those who are mourning.
Thank you for standing with Mission 25 as we work to do both.
Flooding...

The entire country of Cambodia has experienced intense and devastating flooding this month. The image here is in the province of Pursat, which is where our school is located, as well as Pastor Sophun's church. In order to help during this flooding, Mission 25 was able to raise funds to send supplies to families affected, including 40 families who have children in our school. We are so thankful for your incredible support! Pastor Sophun and his team delivered food and supplies to over 85 families!
Will you pray?

Earlier this month we found out that the slum community we had been working in was destroyed by developers, wanting to use that land to build on. Everyone living in the area has been scattered. Mission 25 has been working in that area since 2016. We are hopeful that some of the women we worked with will reach out to Chetra and Vadna and we will be able to get some updates soon. Please pray for this community!
Things are reopening!

Our school has been open for a month and the universities are now reopening for in-person classes! This means our dorm students should all be back in Phnom Penh by November! We have been having weekly Zoom meetings with our students and it will be so great to have them all in one place soon!

Did you know...
We have some of the best donors and supporters out there! Faithful giving has allowed us to meet so many needs during this season.
Each and every month, Mission 25 has the following costs:
  1. We pay our 2 teachers, Kong Kea and Pheak a fair monthly salary. They teach 5 days a week, run church on Sundays and care for the community around them. We also cover the child care for the 2 children of our teachers.
  2. We pay to keep electricity going to the school, and pay for food that is handed out every Sunday.
  3. We pay rent on 2 dormitory buildings (one female and one male) that house up to 20 students each
  4. We pay a stipend to a Cambodian Pastor, Bora Nao and his wife Lisa. Bora and Lisa represent Mission 25 in Cambodia and care for our dorm students. They also connect pastors and translate during our Zoom calls.
  5. In addition to all of this, Mission 25 has been able to give additional funds toward outreaches, wells, water filters, bibles, and other materials and grants!

So when we say we are thankful for our supporters, we really mean it! We could not do all of this without you!
THANK YOU!!
Will you consider joining us by giving financially to Mission 25?
Thank you!

Mission 25's donors include churches and individuals who give regularly. One of our favorite things is when some of the great kids we know give! Our son Asher's best friend Joshua recently gave to Mission 25!
Thank you Joshua for being a Mission 25 donor!
