DuTrac Community Credit Union Gifts $1.3 Million to Iowa Credit Union Foundation
DuTrac Community Credit Union recently gifted $1.3 million to the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) in or der to establish the new DuTrac Community Credit Union Fund (DuTrac Fund). The DuTrac Fund is a donor advised fund that will be administered by ICUF.

“Our vision for the DuTrac Fund is that we will be able to help vulnerable communities in our state,” said Andrew Hawkinson, CEO of DuTrac Community Credit Union. “If there is a natural disaster anywhere in Iowa, we want to be able to quickly get funds there to help. Gathering funds at the state level and concentrating disbursements to those assisting Iowans helps us fulfill our mission and live the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’.”

Iowa Young Professional Selected to "Crash" CUNA's 2020 Governmental Affairs Conference
Taylor Morris of Collins Community Credit Union will be headed to Washington D.C. February 23 - 27 to participate in the Crash the GAC 2020 program sponsored by The Cooperative Trust and Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

By being selected as Iowa's Crash the GAC 2020 representative, Taylor received a $1,000 scholarship from ICUL to help cover hotel, travel and other expenses for her trip to D.C.

NEW! CUNA to Host Small Credit Union Strategic Planning Workshop
CUNA is facilitating a Small Credit Union Strategic Planning Workshop in Kansas City on April 21. This joint opportunity with the Heartland Credit Union Association, Nebraska Credit Union League and ICUL offers a unique environment for peer-to-peer learning, resource-sharing and education.

This workshop will equip CEOs, key staff and board members on how to establish an effective board planning process. The day will feature three case studies on thriving small credit unions, and attendees will walk away with a Facilitator's Guide outlining the strategic planning process.

Prairie Meadows and Polk County Housing Trust Fund have announced a new program to help increase production of affordable homes for the growing workforce in Polk County.

The new program will provide down-payment assistance for income-qualified households purchasing new construction.

nCino , a leading commercial loan origination platform company, will be hosting a complimentary  Analytics Academy  workshop at the Iowa Credit Union League office in West Des Moines on March 12 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
