Honesty---St. Anthony---Volunteer Week B
|
|
Dear St. Isidore Families,
BRING ON SUMMER!
This year has truly flown by! It’s hard to believe that this is the last week of school and the last newsletter of the year. The rest of the week will be filled with end-of-the-year fun. Tomorrow, the students will enjoy their annual Field Day. See the Field Day section below for details on class colors and event specifics. Volunteers are still needed; please

to help. Thursday will be a 12:00 p.m. dismissal, and there will be
NO CARPOOL.
Friday, June 8
th
, will be the last day of school and a 10:00 a.m. dismissal. There will be
NO CARPOOL AND NO KIDS CONNECTION
that day. Our morning will start with an all-school Mass at 8:10 a.m. Following Mass, PTG will host a Parent Coffee in the courtyard. The “Moving Up” ceremony will be held at 9:40 a.m., and at 10:00 a.m., school will be over and
summer will officially begin!
SAFETY COUNCIL UPDATE
Our safety committee has met several times and is making progress with adding new safety measures to the campus. We are researching several options to help make the school less of an open target for potential incidents. I would like to stress that school safety starts first with our school community. It is important that all individuals follow the proper protocol when visiting the school’s campus. This includes carpool procedures and checking in with the front office regardless of how “quick” you will be.
Moving forward, we have placed orders for special inside door lock mechanisms and shatter-resistant glass film for classroom windows. We are also researching the possibility of adding bollards at the vehicle entrance points on campus. More cameras have been installed around campus to help prevent vandalism and property damage. There have also been safety inspections done around the school by several people representing different law enforcement agencies. There will be more training and informational meetings for all stakeholders in the new school year. We are doing all we can to ensure that our students are as safe as we can make them while they are here.
HAPPY SUMMER
I want to wish you all a very happy and safe summer! Please be sure to take time as a family to talk, play, and pray together. I look forward to seeing you all in August.
God bless,
Maria Ward, Principal
St. Isidore School
