DIOCESAN EVENTS
Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm
Bellwether Farm offers a summer camp where school-age children can immerse themselves in fun, engaging activities. These programs will seek to teach healthy social, nutritional, and environmental practices, while providing a safe context in which to encounter God's beautiful creation. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about organic gardening, animal care, and creative cooking. They will also participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, field games, and archery. The Bellwether Farm staff is invested in the life of every camper, seeking to inspire future generations to become passionate leaders in the world around them.

Summer Grants Available for Youth
The Mission Office has funds available to support summer youth programs (up to $500). Please  apply online  by May 31.    
 
The Mission Office, via the Bishop's Annual Appeal, also has funds available to support summer youth mission trips that involve youth from more than one parish. Please apply online by  May 31

Upcoming Ordinations
God willing and the people of God consenting , t he Rt. Rev. Mark Hollingsworth, Jr.,  Bishop of Ohio, will ordain  Stephen N. Ashby, Brian M. Bechtel, Rachel V. Harrison, Daniel L. Hinde, Marie Moore, Anna Sutterisch, and Barbara J. Telfer  to the Sacred Order of  Deacons  in Christ's One Holy Catholic  and Apostolic Church on Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Cathedral. Clergy are asked to wear red stoles. A reception will follow .  
Young Adult and College Ministry Grant
The Congregation and Christian Formation office has funds available to support Young Adult and College Ministry The intention of the Christian Formation Commission (CFC) in granting funds to parishes for Young Adult Ministry and/or more traditional College Ministry is to encourage and develop specific ministries through local parishes to people who are between 18 and 30 years old.  The grant application deadline is June 4. Big Provincial Gathering
Province V of The Episcopal Church invites you to the Big Provincial Gathering in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 12-13. Workshops of all aspects of ministry will be offered. Education for Ministry (EfM) Mentor Training
The Diocese of Ohio will sponsor an EfM Mentor Training on  August 8-10 at Bellwether Farm. The cost for this event is $275 and includes all fees and meals.  Register by July 29. Questions can be directed to the Rev. Brad Purdom at  [email protected] or Kate Gillooly at  [email protected].
PARISH EVENTS
POSTPONED - National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Trip
The Wilma Ruth Combs Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians is postponing the one-day bus trip to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati on May 18. The fees received will be returned by mail. The new fall date will be announced soon.
Joan McConnell Concert
Grace, Sandusky is hosting a free concert featuring Joan McConnell playing the organ on Sunday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome .
Choral Evensong at Trinity Cathedral
The Choral Evensong is an evening service, rich with contrasts between light and dark, and sung by the Trinity Cathedral Choir, the Trinity Chamber Singers, or a local guest choir. Offered weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m., now through May 15. Each service commemorates a saint from Holy Women, Holy Men, The Episcopal Church's book of saints. The service is followed at 7:00 p.m. by a community soup and salad supper, catered by Luna Bakery & Cafe. The suggested meal donation $6 .
University Singers Concert
The University Singers of the University of Virginia (UVA) will be performing at St. Paul's, Cleveland Heights in the nave on May 22 at 7:30 p.m. The 75 member choir is UVA's flagship choral ensemble and has toured extensively throughout the US and Europe. Last fall, they joined the Charlottesville Symphony on the steps of UVA Rotunda to perform for UVA's Bicentennial Celebration before a crowd of 20,000. For the May 22 concert the choir will perform a cappella and accompanied choral pieces featuring Chesnokov's "Spaseniye Sodelal," Eric Whitacre's "Water Night," and traditional songs arranged by Stephen Paulus, Nathanial Dett, and Moses Hogan. The Chamber Singers will also perform, singing selections including Ben Fold's "The Luckiest."
Three Church Pentecost and Picnic
St. Mark's, Canton hosts St. Paul's, Canton and St. Timothy's, Massillon for a festive service Sunday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m. with clergy and a combined choir followed by a picnic. The three church Pentecost and picnic is the final event in a year-long cooperation which started with a Fall meeting at St. Paul's, an Epiphany service at St. Timothy's, and now with Pentecost at St. Mark's .
Grand Opening
St. Peter's, Lakewood is having the grand opening of their new building on Sunday, June 9 at 3:00 p.m .
