Join the 2019 Commuter Challenge!
Commute.org is encouraging San Mateo County businesses to motivate employees to be super commuters and get rewarded.

This Spring, show off your superpowers by joining the 2019 Commuter Challenge and using alternative modes like carpool, vanpool, telework, bicycle, walk, shuttle or public transit for your commute.  

From April 1st to May 31st , people who use these modes will not only transform into superheroes but they will also be eligible to win weekly prizes and be entered into a drawing for five grand prizes.

Reminder: Co mmission Applications Due April 5
Menlo Park welcomes and encourages residents' active participation through serving on a City-appointed commission or committee. Commissions examine issues of community interest and make recommendations to the City Council on policy matters. Each commission reviews specific subjects and carries out assignments as directed by the City Council or as prescribed by law.

New opportunities to serve on the Complete Streets Commission, Environmental Quality Commission, Finance and Audit Committee, Housing Commission, Library Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission are now available. Commissions have played an instrumental role in providing feedback on important City project including: the General Plan Update, Facebook Campus Expansion and more. 

Recruitment for the Commission vacancies is open until  April 5, 2019 , at 5 pm . Download the application  here .

Off the Grid Returns to Menlo Park
Off the Grid returns to Menlo Park on Wednesday, April 3 , offering residents a taste of the Bay Area’s top food truck vendors. The Menlo Park market occurs every Wednesday from 5 to 9 pm with the exception of July 3 at the corner of Merrill Street and Ravenswood Avenue next to the Caltrain station .

Come out and enjoy an evening with friends and family while tasting novel and exciting flavors!

3 7th Annual Sidewalk Spring Art Stroll
The Menlo Park Sidewalk Spring Art Stroll, celebrating its 37 th  year, welcomes visitors to browse among the handcrafted works of more than 90 artists whose displays include fine jewelry, photography from many different perspectives, decorative and functional ceramics, abstract and representational paintings, gorgeous turned woodwork and much more. This open-air marketplace celebrates the artists’ talent and an opportunity to learn about their inspiration in creating lasting beauty.

Art Show benefiting the Lucile Packard Children Hospital
Marcela's Village Gallery Art Exhibit & Show with paintings donated by Ron Silzer, “In Memory of Cora” and sculptures by Guy Clement Cohen, “Less is Better” presented in a very unique way: immersive audio-visual experience.

Please come and meet the artists, hear their stories, and Ron's inspiration to paint and then to donate all his art work to Lucile Packard Children Hospital. Thank you for helping us to help others!
