With summer almost upon us, if you're like me, you start to think about road trips and BBQ's, vintage cars and swimming pools.  The theme of the LA County Fair this year is Route 66.  If you want to get a preview of what is coming, please join us Wednesday, June 6th at 7:00 pm at the Ginger Elliott Center at Garner House in Memorial Park, for a journey down memory lane !  More info below...

The 2018 Claremont Heritage Annual Awards Gala at the Padua Hills Theatre on May 19th was an Elegant Evening enjoyed by all! 
  
  

A special thanks to our outstanding Gala Committee, Staff, Board, Volunteers, Underwriters, Auction Donors and everyone who attended this special evening! 

The 2018 Bess Garner Preservation Award went to The Webb Schools for their stewardship and preservation of the cultural resources on their historic campus.

The 2018 Cultural Heritage Award went to Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in recognition of over 85 years as the largest botanic garden dedicated to California native plants and the educational programs, exhibitions, publications and events that add to our cultural resources in Claremont.
 
And last, but certainly not least, a very special shout-out to Girl Scout Troop 1094 who gave an outstanding presentation of the Founding Mothers of Claremont.  Thank You for making this evening so special!

Please join Claremont Heritage in welcoming Lynn Miller from the California Historic Route 66 Association, who will share the history of Route 66 and why it continues to attract foreign and domestic travelers more than 30 years after it was decommissioned as a Federal Highway.
