Greetings From Mr. Grieco...

SASEAS families,
We are midway through May and so much is going on at both campuses as we finish up the school year. None of it is possible without the army of volunteers who pitch in to make things like First Communions, 5
th
grade picnic, Muffins with Mom, field trips, sports teams, class plays, cafeteria duty, and so much more run smoothly. We are so grateful for their help and cannot thank them enough.
Our St. Andrew May Crowning took place last Friday and our eighth – grade did an amazing job with the ceremony. Special thanks to Mrs. Voto who organized the ceremony and Mrs. Clayton who organized the luncheon.
Our fifth grade class will enjoy their annual tradition of the
Fifth Grade Picnic
this Friday. Thank you to the many parents and staff who make this day so memorable and special.
The annual
8
th
grade Washington, D.C. trip
is this Friday through Tuesday. This is an incredible experience to learn more about our country’s founding on Christian principles. I am looking forward to traveling with them. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and look for many updates on our school Facebook page.
Congratulations
to our Seton campus Saint of the Month award winners and discipleship trait honorees for the months of April and May.
Our beginner and advanced band members will have their
spring concert
at Roger Bacon High School tonight at 7 pm. They have worked hard and practiced under the direction of Mr. Powers all year and I am sure they will do a great job.
This evening the sixth-grade class will present their Genius Projects for public viewing in the St. Andrew Church basement from 6:30 – 7 pm. Come check out what topics these amazing students have become experts on.
Don't forget to "
Dine to Donate
" at Subway tomorrow, Thursday May 16 - all day! Subway behind White Castle on Rt. 28.
God Bless and have a great week,
Nick Grieco
Principal

Preschool News
Preschool Parent-Teacher Conferences are on Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th. I hope you all enjoy this meeting with your child’s teacher as you learn how far they’ve come since the beginning of the school year. Remember that there is no school for preschool on these Conference days.
This week the theme of our three-year-old classes is “Smiles”. In math they are recognizing numbers and tracing them as they count 10 smiles. They are strengthening their fine motor skills by “swirl cutting” in Art and are experimenting with Bubble Painting. In religion their lesson is “I Can Pretend” as they explore this fun way to play and learn in God’s world.
If you look up in the sky and spot a bird…no, a plane…or wait, a Superhero…then you might just be catching a glimpse of our four and five-year old preschoolers as they celebrate Superhero Week! The Four-year-old classes are designing masks and capes in art while filling out a Superhero page where they discuss their superhero name and their corresponding superpower in language arts. Their religion lesson is “God Made Big Things”. Our Pre-K class is finishing the sentence “My Superpower is___” in language arts, and practicing superhero graphing in Math. In science they are building floatation devices for a superhero, and in Religion they are learning that “Light is Good”, and that they should share their light with others.
Thank you to all of the parents and special friends who joined us for our Spring Teas this past week. The children really enjoyed sharing the day with you.

Preschool Director
