Congratulations, STEM Pathways Graduates!

Congratulations to our amazing class of 2018, graduating from Boston University College of Engineering! We are proud of their achievements and excited about the new journeys they are going to undertake in both industry and academia. Best of luck!

K12 Opportunities in the 617

There are several programs happening on the BU campus, within the Greater Boston region, and nationwide to promote STEM and/or synthetic biology.

Register for the NSF Research Experiences for Teachers Curriculum Showcase

You are invited to attend Boston University Photonics Center's National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Teachers in Integrated Nanomanufacturing Curriculum Showcase on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. The showcase will be held at the Boston University Photonics Center, 8 Saint Mary's St, Room 906, Boston, MA 02215. Several of our RET participants, from local area schools, will showcase their integration of RET developed case study curriculum in both middle and high school classrooms. We encourage teachers, administrators, STEM Community Leaders, school district officials, and science leads to join us for an exciting and informative event. LERNet: Boston University's Learning Resource Network http://lernet.bu.edu/

LERNet is designed to serve as a resource center and clearinghouse for these activities, to help with ongoing events, and to assist faculty who are interested in planning new programs. It aids in coordinating enrichment programs in science, mathematics, and engineering for k12 students.

National Girls Collaborative Project https://ngcproject.org/

The vision of the NGCP is to bring together organizations throughout the United States that are committed to informing and encouraging girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The goals of NGCP are to:

Maximize access to shared resources within projects, and with public and private sector organizations and institutions interested in expanding girls' participation in STEM.
Strengthen capacity of existing and evolving projects by sharing exemplary practice research and program models, outcomes, and products.
Use the leverage of a network and the collaboration of individual girl-serving STEM programs to create the tipping point for gender equity in STEM.

NewtonSTEM was established in February 2011 to draw together Newton (Massachusetts) parents, educators, students, and STEM professionals to develop Newton students' interests and abilities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), both in school and in extra-curricular activities.
