God of Great Wonder
by Carol Penner
from Leading in Worship

God of great wonders,
we join with you in the joy of giving.
You give us life and breath,
you fill the world with beauty,
our hands with bounty,
and our hearts with the desire to give.
Accept these gifts, and ourselves in your service.
Amen.

"As I work daily in the space of stewardship, I appreciate this prayer by Carol Penner. It is a good reminder that all our talents and gifts come through God and we really are just stewards of these gifts we have been blessed to hold."

2019 Mennonite Women Bible Study Guide:
Every Time I Feel the Spirit
by Shannon W. Dycus

The new Bible study, Every Time I Feel the Spirit, celebrates the legacy that we have received from history's bold and Spirit-filled women. It is an excellent resource for individual study, women's groups, and retreat settings.

Every Time I Feel the Spirit author Shannon W. Dycus skillfully traces the Spirit's creative power as it has moved women throughout history and continues among us. Readers learn from Vashti, Mary, Anna, Naamah, Ruth, Jochebed, the wife of Jairus, Sophia, and a prodigal sister, among others. These valiant individuals-who come to us through Scripture and other historical sources-lead us into Spirit-breathed journeys of our own.

Sister Care Illinois

Nearly 40 women gathered April 5-6 at Menno Haven Camp and Retreat Center in Tiskilwa, Illinois, for a Sister Care Seminar. Ranging in age from their early twenties to almost eighty, women shared stories of loss, growth, and transformation. Leaders Alicia Manning (pictured on the left) and Hyacinth Stevens (right) provided guidance and powerful teaching. Cyneatha Millsaps and Jeannie Sears shared their experiences, describing times when specific individuals became "Jesus with skin on" during times of life-altering pain and loss. It was an enriching weekend for women to be together and experience God's love, hope, and healing.
