Next weekend is a busy one for Grace students. On Friday night come out to see our Grades 1-4 musical, The Rock Slinger and His Greatest Hit. The performance begins at 7:00pm, students need to arrive at 6:30pm. You are also welcome to attend the 9:00am performance.
On Saturday and Sunday, several members of our boys and girls track teams will be competing at the LSA State Meet held at Concordia. Together the two teams qualified 27 individual events and 8 relays for the meet. The action takes place Saturday from 9:30-4:30 and Sunday 11:30-3:00. Make plans to come out and cheer on the team. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for grade school students.

Important Information about the Lower-Grade Musical
Children in grades 1-4 will perform
The Rock Slinger and His Greatest Hit at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17. Parents and guests are welcome at the morning as well as the evening performance.
Students should wear dark pants or dark leggings to school on the 17
th and shoes they can dance in (no sandals or flip-flops). Show t-shirts will be given to students Friday morning. Following the morning performance students will change out of their show t-shirt and keep them at school for the evening performance.
Students should arrive at 6:30 Friday evening and go to their classrooms. It is very important that children arriving early stay with their parents until 6:30 p.m. The performance is approximately one hour in length. For questions, contact

Grace Food Drive- The Grace Social Ministry Committee and Grace Lutheran School are holding a food drive for local pantries. Grocery bags with a list of suggested food items were sent home this past week. Please bring non-perishable food items to Grace by May 19. Bags can be dropped off in the bin in the atrium. Thank you for your generosity.

Grace Lutheran School will be participating in the River Forest Memorial Day parade this year. We would love to have as many Grace students and their families participate as possible.
Planning meetings will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:15 – 8:45 in the Art Studio. Come and help us order swag, plan signs, be present at the tent in the park, and plan decorations.
The deadline to purchase Legacy Pavers is Friday, May 17. Please see the information below for a link to the form or pick one up at the school office.
The end of the school year is fast approaching. Please take care of any outstanding fees for daycare, afternoon kindergarten, or materials fees.
