The Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, Pitt Public Health,
University of Pittsburgh is seeking applications at the level of assistant professor (tenure stream). The successful applicant will have a doctoral degree in infectious diseases, epidemiology, public health, social or behavioral science, or a related discipline (e.g., MD/DO), as well as a strong record of public health practice and/or applied research in sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS. A history of externally funded research or the demonstrated ability to attract external funding is preferred. The position will function as director of a three-year demonstration project, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, intended to increase pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) uptake in Allegheny County (PA) among populations most at risk for HIV infection.
