"Unselfie" Erev Shabbat Service

Rabbi Shimon, the Righteous, talks about the three “pillars” that the world rests upon: Torah, Avodah (service) and Gemilut Chasadim (acts of loving kindess). Pirkei Avot 1:2

As we approach Thanksgiving, let’s give thanks by doing for others and our world, and let’s recognize our Gemilut Chasadim, our acts of loving kindness, over the past few months. Did you support a worthwhile charity? Prepare a meal for the hungry? Donate clothes to those in need? Adopt a rescued pet? Strengthen your recycling efforts? Lend a hand to someone who needed it?

Our Unselfie slideshow will be shown at Erev Shabbat Services on Friday, November 20.

Eternal Light Initiative:
Our Annual Campaign
“If I am not for me, who will be for me? And if I am for myself alone, what am I? And if not now, when?” ―Hillel

Now more than ever, we ask for your help. We can do more. We can further feed, visit, seek, discover, advocate, teach, study, pray and grow. We have seen the good we do for so many, and we are excited for the future.

Please consider supporting our holy community and our annual fund through a donation to the Eternal Light Initiative.
