As we approach the end of the school year, we extend our deepest thanks to

SEF Awards Spring 2019 Grants

The Summit Education Foundation is pleased to announce our grant awards for the 2019 spring grant cycle.  With generous support from our community donors, the Foundation was able to approve funding for 73 grants totaling almost $606,000.  Grants were awarded across all levels: District ($32,855), Primary ($10,773), Elementary ($429,192), Middle ($82,865) and High School ($50,290). 

A sampling of the approved grants includes:
  • Orton-Gillingham Comprehensive Teacher Training and Materials for all five Elementary Schools and LCJSMS,  $26,441
  • Family Math Night at Wilson Primary Center, $2,056
  • Books for Growing Readers at Jefferson Primary Center, $1,235
  • Individual Chromebook Initiative for 3rd and 4th grade students for all five Elementary Schools, $211,462
  • Front Row Juno Classroom Audio systems for third, fourth and fifth grade students at Brayton Elementary School, $14,257
  • Colonial Reenactment program for fourth grade students at Franklin Elementary School, $1,000
  • Site License for Reflexmath at Jefferson Elementary School, $3,295
  • Books for leveled nonfiction library for second grade students at Lincoln-Hubbard Elementary School, $2,404
  • Learning Ally program at Washington Elementary School, $1,864
  • Battle of the Books program at LCJSMS, $1,373
  • Vex Robotics Classroom Bundles and build stools for the Coding and Robotics Cycle at LCJSMS, $24,200
  • Art in the Digital Age to incorporate technology as a tool in eighth grade art cycle course at LCJSMS, $3,580
  • College Counseling Professional Development at the Summit High School, $10,000
  • Virtual High School at Summit High School, $11,250
