As the spring and summer spreads its wings, the outdoor preaching of ISKCON of Central NJ (ICNJ) gathers momentum. Hari naam on the streets and book distribution in community events becomes a part of parcel of our weekly routine.

His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada said - "Sri-Jagannath Rath Yatra is our biggest preaching festival". There is a lot in store for us including Rath Yatras as we look forward to the summer of 2019.

Sunday School's Gita Jayanti 2018 Presentation
“How do you teach a subject like Bhagavad Gita to such a large group of children, ranging from age 3 to 16 in your Sunday School?”, a curious newcomer once asked me.

“Well, just like a subject like Mathematics is taught from kindergarten to masters! Why don’t you stop by at our Gita Jayanti celebration and see it yourself”, I offered her.

Yes, at ISKCON CNJ Sunday School, when we celebrated Gita Jayanti, presentations by our 5 classes divided into various age groups, ranging from age 3 to 16, reflected upon their different levels of study and realization of Bhagavad Gita As It Is. There were recitations, discussion on the Gita lessons learned and the musical skits to cover the whole range of various teachings/learnings that happen at our Sunday School in the temple every Sunday, rain or shine.

All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada for being the driving force behind our Sunday School project. In addition, we cannot thank enough to all the teachers, assistant teachers, and administrators for their selfless service to run the Sunday School with nearly 130 registered students and of course the parents, who are the backbone of the School!
