NEWS
FROM
THE NEST
Dear Assumption Family,
May is the month of Mary and today we take time to honor our own Mothers on this Mothers Day. Right now I am probably in Long Island eating traditional Italian food surrounded by the ones I love including my Mom. I hope you too have the chance to do what is special for you and your mother today.
As we continue the month of Mary, I invite you to our beautiful May Crowning of our Blessed Mother tomorrow in the Hall as we take time to recognize Mary. We are fortunate to have our 2nd grade class under the guidance of teacher Ms. Andrade provide readings and help us pray the rosary. Please encourage your child to participate by bringing their own rosary for this beautiful tribute to Mary. All are welcome to attend.
To our Assumption mothers who give every day to ensure their child is loved and taken care of- we honor you! Thank you for all you do as well for our school community.
Many Blessings,
Steven J. Santoli
Principal

"We stand with Catholic Education...," said Anne McCrory, Chief Legal and Real Estate Officer for the Diocese of Bridgeport overseeing all legal matters, including litigation, corporate governance, employment and compliance matters that relate to the schools, diocesan corporations and Catholic Charities in a video shown here showcased on Social Media and the Diocesan website.
She is also a proud member of the Class of 1976 from Assumption Catholic School and we are fortunate to call her part of our family all these years. She and her 7 siblings all graduated with a strong foundation from Assumption, 5 before her and 2 after!
Anne gives back to her alma mater, Assumption in so many ways. She serves on the Advisory Board of Directors, donates of her time and treasure to give back to the school she calls home.
Principal Steven Santoli says he is fortunate to have her guidance on the board and shares the following about Anne personally, " Anne is a true follower of Christ's teaching and a proponent of not only Catholic education, but an Assumption Catholic education. We thank her for her service and are pleased to showcase her as our first Alumni Spotlight!"
