Family Justice Center Gala a Success.

Contra Costa County Family  Justice Alliance is building a new East County Family Justice Center in Antioch.

A Family Justice Center (the "Center") is a one-stop center for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking. The Center is where families come first.

They bring resources to meet the needs of children, youth and families impacted by interpersonal violence, recognizing that family violence greatly impacts children's healthy development including their emotional, mental and physical health.

In order to raise funding for the new East County Center, the CCFJA hosted a fundraiser on Thursday, May 2nd, held at Blackhawk Museum.

Please support the work of building of a new

Not everyone can make it to the polls on Election Day, which is why you have the ability to vote early both in person and by mail.

Voting by mail gives you flexibility in casting and returning your ballot. It's simple too. Ballots are mailed 29 days before Election Day along with voting instructions and information on how to return your ballot.

Place your marked ballot in the return envelope and seal it. Be sure to sign the addressed return envelope. Without a signature the ballot cannot be counted.

Become A Vote-By-Mail Voter!
You can become a permanent vote-by-mail voter and have a ballot mailed to you before every election. To become a permanent vote-by-mail voter: http://registertovote.ca.gov/

Complete the Online Registration Form and select "Yes" in the vote-by-mail box.

Delta Counties Caucus

The DCC works to give one voice to the Delta.

The California Delta region is made up of five counties -- Contra Costa, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano and Yolo -- and is home to over four million people. The Caucus allows legislators to maintain a more united voice on important issues affecting the region by keeping them updated, briefed and educated while also providing a venue for collaboration with various public and state entities.

"Our goals are to improve the Delta ecosystem, provide a more reliable water supply for the State,  protect and enhance Delta communities, and reduce reliance on the Delta.  Essentially addressing the provisions and mandates set forth in the 2009 Delta Reform Act." Burgis said.

Working with local, state, and federal stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that address California's water management issues in a comprehensive, sustainable manner.

The DCC supports a diversified approach to addressing CA's long-term water needs.
