Take steps to ensure your child is riding safely
Car seat checks by certified Novi FD techs; Sep. 21, 9-noon, Fire Station 4
Take advantage of a free car seat installation/check by certified Novi Firefighters on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9-noon at Fire Station #4.

The installation process takes roughly 25 minutes and no appointment is necessary. Please bring your vehicles owner's manual, car seat owner's manual and, if possible, the child who is using the seat.

Join us for a community walk at the ITC Trail
Trail spans 4 miles, from Ascension Hospital to ITC Community Sports Park
The ITC Corridor Trail is ready for action and we want you to help us break it in!

The community is invited to walk or bike the trail together from 9-11am on Saturday, Sept. 28. We will meet at Wildlife Woods Park, parking at the 11 Mile Road entrance.

The trail spans four miles, from Ascension Providence Hospital to ITC Community Sports Park. Prizes will be given out along the trail, the farther you go, the more you will receive. To learn more about the trail, visit cityofnovi.org.
Household Hazardous Waste Day is October 5
Event on Oct. 5 moves to new Novi DPW facility at 26300 Lee BeGole Dr.
The Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, Oct. 5 has a new location.

RRRASOC has moved the event from the Novi Civic Center parking lot to the new Novi Department of Public Works building at 26300 Lee BeGole Drive. The event will run from 9-noon, rain or shine.

Household hazardous waste means items that are flammable, combustible, corrosive, reaction or toxic and would be harmful to the environment if thrown in a regular landfill.

Japan Festival returns to Novi High on October 6
Free event from 1-4pm highlights Japanese culture
Experience and enjoy the Japanese culture right here in Novi at the annual Japan Festival on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 1-4pm at Novi High School.

This free event will feature a variety of performances, workshops, games, food and more. Co-hosted by the Japan Business Society of Detroit and the JSD Women's Club, it will take place rain or shine. We look forward to seeing you there!
