Discussing the impact of technology on culture
, Yvonne Förster, a research professor at Shanxi University-Taiyuan, China, and a professor of philosophy at Leuphana University-Lüneburg, Germany, will present the lecture, "Transcending the Human: Technology and the Liberal Arts," at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, in F.W. Olin Building, Room 102.
Islamophobia and the 2020 Presidential Election:
Associate Professor of Religion, Todd Green will address the increasing role of Islamophobia in presidential election cycles, and offer reflections on
what we can expect in the 2020 election cycle when it comes to the instrumentalization and politicization of Islamophobia.

Latines Unides
is having their Annual Talent Show on May 9 at 7p.m. in Marty's. All funds will be donated to Lantern Hill a non-profit in Mexico that supports low-income students pursue education. Tickets are sold for $3 before the event and $4 at the door. We will raffle gift cards from the Bookstore, Sugar Bowl and Don Jose.

May 10 (9:00 – 5:00), with Senior Recognition Convocation 11:15 – 12:00. The

A campus programming reminder
to all that Tuesday-Sunday, May 14-19 is considered
Finals Prep Week
and is intended to provide additional space for students to prepare for tests, papers and finals. These six days are set aside for academic preparation for finals and Luther does not schedule public events during this time, including student-led events. All campus events conclude before May 12. Exceptions include athletic events, social gatherings, Cool Aid, student research symposia and Senior Recognition Day and Research Symposium.
Here's My Story: LGBT+ Experiences and Identities
— Media coverage of LGBT+ issues usually focuses on the struggles of being queer in the modern world rather than the positive aspects of LGBT+ identity and community. Come hear stories from those within the community ranging from tribulations to affirmations and highlighting topics of identity, age, occupation and more at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in Valders 206.
