Update Yahrzeit Information in Shul Cloud
If you have suffered the loss of a family member and wish to be notified of the Yahrzeit please log into ShulCloud with your username and password.  Once you are in  your account click on the Yahrzeit Tab, 3rd tab
from the left  on the top. Click Add Yahrzeit. This will take you to Create New Yahrzeit. The fields are self-explanatory. For accuracy of the notification, it is important to know if the deceased died before or after sundown. You will then receive a ShulCloud generated notice by email or hard copy if no email address is on file from the Synagogue prior to the date that the Yahrzeit will be observed.

If you are unable to log in or need help  to input the information into the system please contact Marsha Lustig who will be happy to help you.

YIS Heritage Mission to Poland 2018
Please join us.
Dear friends,

The 2nd YIS Mission to Poland taking place this Summer during the "9 Days" and Tisha B'Av. We will once again be guided by noted historian and teacher, David Bernstein, of the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem, and spiritually led by our own Rabbi Morgenstern. The trip is again being run under the auspices of Heritage Seminars.
We are currently a group of close to 30 people and encourage anyone who hasn't registered yet, or has been thinking about joining us, to register and be a part of this highly impactful trip. We will not only be remembering the centuries-old Polish Jewish communities of yesteryear, but giving dignity and life-affirming Kavod to the millions who were murdered on Polish soil in the Shoah. Please consider joining us in this holy mission.

To register, please click here.

For more information, questions and flight information, please contact Mission Chairs, Steve Halper - [email protected] or Stu Zisholtz - [email protected].

We are delighted to invite you to a public lecture  on the Israel-Diaspora Relationship with leaders and participants of the Shalom Hartman Institute's Beit Midrash for Israeli Rabbis, a unique, egalitarian program training pluralistic Israeli community leaders to inspire the Israeli public with new and diverse ways of engaging with Judaism.

The program, developed in partnership with HaMidrasha  at  Oranim , brings together voices representing the diversity of Israeli-Jewish experience to define an Israeli rabbinical leadership for our times.

Given the lack of awareness
 of the Holocaust revealed
in the study released last
week, I am more motivated
than ever to get this film seen! Fortunately, we are opening
 in New York this
weekend
with strong reviews ("Profound... Valuable...
 Hope flickers throughout this documentary!"
says the
New York Times).
We hope
 this will help bring
audiences to our Pelham screenings!
SYNOPSIS:  AFTER AUSCHWITZ  is a "Post-Holocaust" documentary that follows six extraordinary women, capturing what it means to move from tragedy and trauma towards life.
These women all moved to
Los Angeles, married, raised children and became "Americans" but they never
truly found a place to call
home. What makes the story
so much more fascinating is how these women saw, interpreted and interacted
with the changing face of America in the second half of the 20th century. They serve
as our guides on an unbelievable journey, sometimes celebratory, sometimes heart breaking
but always inspiring. Winner, Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature, Los
 Angeles Jewish Film Festival

Please visit www.afterauschwitz.com
