Options for managing growth and budget needs previewed by Board
For the past several months, E. Carver Co. Schools has been looking at ways to manage growing
enrollment, aging buildings, budget pressures and academic needs.  Staff have reviewed the hard work of the Facility Task Force, used community surveys and listening sessions to gather public input, and analyzed budget projections. At its May 6 work session, the School Board was presented with some options to consider which  support the district's commitment to exceptional, personalized learning. Read more HERE.
Teaching and Learning evaluation results presented to Board
At this week's school board work session, the district's Teaching and Learning team provided an update on recent parent, student, and staff surveys and focus groups around personalized learning, standards-based learning, standards-based grading, and Empower. The results show strong support among all groups for personalized learning. The parent survey also showed ongoing concern with Empower and practices related to standards-based grading. More details HERE.
District equity and inclusion update:
At this week's work session, administration updated the Board about ongoing work around the district's equity and inclusion initiatives. Updates will be included in future 112Online newsletters and are listed HERE.
