Lakeshore Park, Beach closed for construction
Construction got underway at Lakeshore Park on Wednesday morning, requiring us to close the park to the public.

The beach, park shelters, restrooms and playgrounds will be closed until further notice. Access to the trail system will be maintained as much as possible throughout the project with limited parking at the park entrance on South Lake Drive. Trail users should park at Pavilion Shore Park, located a quarter-mile east of Lakeshore Park.

The enhancements coming to Lakeshore Park include the construction of a 6,200-square-foot building designed for Novi Parks and Public Library programming, a paved parking lot, new park shelter, library kiosk, restroom access from outside of the building and more. At Lakeshore Beach, a shoreline stabilization project is planned to help with erosion in the area.
Safety, field conditions play role in cancellations
The rainy weather has wreaked havoc on our spring sports and we greatly appreciate everyone's understanding throughout the shuffling schedule.

We hate cancelling practices and games as much as you do, but we will always err on the side of caution when it comes to player safety and the integrity of our fields.

It is also our goal to make these decisions in a timely manner and encourage participants to always call the hotline at 248.347.0473 , visit cityofnovi.org or check our Facebook page for updates.
